Late Addition Brewing + Blending entered Pittsburgh’s vibrant craft beer scene with deep roots in brewing expertise and a fresh perspective on sessionable beers, traditional styles, and creative blended sours. Working with the founders as they transitioned from the former 412 Brewing, I helped define the visual language of this new chapter — shaping a brand that feels both grounded in craft tradition and poised for exploration.

The Brand

Late Addition Brewing + Blending entered Pittsburgh’s craft beer landscape with a desire to honor brewing tradition while carving out a distinct new identity. Working closely with the founders as they transitioned from the former 412 Brewing brand, I helped define a flexible system that signals a new chapter while remaining grounded, approachable, and flexible for growth.

The Digital Experience

As a small brewery in start-up phase, digital for Late Addition balanced simplicity with an economical approach. A fully responsive single-page website was designed and developed, along with digital taproom board graphics that clearly communicate beer offerings while reinforcing the brand’s visual language in a functional, in-space context.

The Space

Environmental design extended the brand into the physical taproom experience, including interior graphics and custom visual elements. This also included the taproom façade and exterior building signage, establishing a confident street-level presence and creating continuity between the exterior, interior, and overall brand experience.

The Packaging

A modular, flexible design approach to the packaging system was developed to support both core offerings and rotating specialty releases. The framework balances consistency and variation, allowing each brand to stand on its own while reinforcing a recognizable shelf presence across styles and formats.
